Concourse in Kessler Park, Kansas City, Missouri

Chalk Walk in the Historic Northeast is in its
5th
year.
We
are celebrating by letting our imaginations run free! This
year’s festival features all styles of works from local and
regional pastel artists of all ages. We will also have raised
surfaces to draw on, anamorphic artwork, and 3D chromaspec
glasses to view the chalk art!
It
is not all chalk either. We’ll have live music from local
bands, KC Kite Club, fun activities, KC library books and fun,
health screening tent hosted by KC University of Medicine and
Biosciences. And there’s no charge to attend!
We
are still looking for sponsors and artists. Logon to

Chalk Walk is a FREE and public sidewalk chalk drawing festival
in April 2012 at the:
Concourse Park
(in the heart of the Historic Northeast Neighborhoods)
celebrating the wealth of culture and diversity in the Kansas
City Urban Core. Chalk Walk Celebrates Creativity!
Experience two days “chalked” full of creative activities!
This FREE, family-friendly event – in the tradition of European
16th Century street painting – transforms the dull,
grey concrete sidewalks of Concourse Park into colorful, pastel
pathways. Kids and parents will join local, amateur and
practicing artists to create temporary chalk “masterpieces”!
Chalk Walk Builds Community! Bring a picnic lunch and
enjoy live music and children’s entertainment.
Watch your favorite artist(s) create their works. You
don’t have to be a professional artist or even know much about
art to be a part of Chalk Walk. All you need is the desire
to have fun and be inspired.
