Warren Bull, Board Member
Warren Bull is a long-time contributor to and editor for Downgo Sun. His short story, “A Lady of Quality,” first published in Downgo Sun, won Best Short Story for 2006 from the Missouri Writers Guild. He won second place in the Fiction category of the 2007 Missouri Writers Guild
Winter Writing Contest. His award-winning short story,
“Beecher's Bibles,” was published in the anthology Manhattan Mysteries (Kansas Publishing Inc., 2005.) He also has stories in the anthologies Grab Your Tiger (Keen Publications, 2007) and Medium of Murder (Red Coyote Press, 2008.) He is the author of Abraham Lincoln for the Defense (PublishAmerica, 2003.) His fiction and nonfiction works have been published in
a number of venues, including

Susan Ferguson, Editor
Susan Ferguson is a former Missourian, most recently a Kansas Citian,
transplanted two years ago to northern Arizona, where she recently completed
the requirements for a Master of Arts degree in English at Northern Arizona
University. She lives in the beautiful red rock country of Sedona, where she is
self employed as a writer, manuscript editor, and graphic designer. In past
lives that continue to overlap with the present one, she worked as a freelance
writer/editor, journalist, and marketing communications specialist for
twentysome years. Her creative work has been published in
Downgo Sun, New Letters, The Mochila Review, Sunrust, Chrysalis Reader, Icarus (at Missouri Western State College), and Deadmule.com. A few of her short stories have been honored with awards, including "Not the
Killing Kind" (John Gilgun Literary Contest,
Mochila Review, 2004); "Not the Killing Kind" (Missouri Writers Guild, 2005); “Driving the Dead Man's Car” (Missouri Writers Guild, 2005); and "The Session" (Nodaway Arts Council
Literary Contest, 1983). In 2007 she and author Dennis Fritz of Kansas City,
Mo., received the 2007 PASS Award in Literature from the National Council on
Crime and Delinquency for Dennis's memoir,
Journey Toward Justice. Susan holds memberships in the National Council of Teachers of English, and
Association of Writers and Writing Programs, and is a former member of the

Peggy Hormann, Board Member
Retired from the IT industry, where she was a technical writer, Peggy Hormann is
a member of the Westport Writers Workshop. Her work has been published in
Potpourri, Kansas City Voices, and Downgo Sun.
Isaac Melum, Board Member
Isaac Melum is a graduate of Northern Arizona University, which bestowed on him
this spring a Master of Arts degree in English with an emphasis in creative
writing. His poetry can be found in the literary journals
Temenos, Reflection, and Waterlogged August.
Annette Rasmussen, Board Member
Annette Rasmussen's poetry has been published in the Kansas City Star, Caring Concepts, and Holiday House. Several poems and a short story have also been published on Downgo Sun, and Chiron Review published one of her short stories. Annette's book, Fantastical Tales for the Heroine's Quest, was published in 2006. Annette is a licensed clinical psychotherapist.
Cody Roberts, Board Member
Cody Roberts received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Houston. He served as managing editor of the student newspaper Dateline: Downtown and was also a regular short fiction contributor to the university's literary journal, The Bayou Review. His work has appeared on thetravelerspen.com and 90soccer.com, where he was a regular contributor for 90:00 Soccer Magazine as the beat writer for the back-to-back Major League Soccer champions, the Houston Dynamo. Cody is a member of the International English Honor Society, the Modern Language Association, and the Association of Writers and Writing Programs. He has worked as a video coordinator for Texas Tech football in Lubbock and supervising test scorer for the Maryland Department of Education, and he did promotions work for Universal Pictures and Cafe Budweiser in Alicante, Spain. An adventurous wanderer at heart, Cody enjoys traveling, film, sports, and his new bicycle. He recently climbed the Mount Everest of reggae-dom, visiting Bob Marley's resting place in the hills of Nine Mile, Jamaica. He also enjoys typing in third person. Cody resides in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he is a graduate student of English Literature and Ethnic Studies and an English instructor.
