Kasey RauschA Lil’ About Me

I’m a Kansas City gal who travels around the country either solo or with a variety of bands playing authentic, acoustic, Americana music with a focus on my ancestral roots.  I write and sing songs about the people and places I love and also enjoy keeping alive good songs written by others.  You’ll most often catch me with a guitar in my hands, as well as an occasional upright bass, fiddle, mandolin, banjo or mountain dulcimer.

Iris on Independence Avenue has Expanded

Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences students and staff helped repaint some boards at 3512.  All of the weeds and trash were removed so Iris can now take over in front.

Iris were replanted on Islands that were damaged by fiber cable companies laying conduit.  Iris are on the North side of the street near Prospect.

Thanks to all that contributed to these projects.

The Mission of Northeast Arts KC is to provide, enhance, fund, market and support cultural events which bring the visual and the performance arts to the public in the Historic Northeast community, without regard to race, religion or ethnic group.

We recently expanded our projects to include Window Dressing, Scarritt Renaissance Coffee Club, and St John Community Gardens.  A new “Gardens as Art” has sprung up at 5415 St John.  It is a partnership with Indian Mound Neighborhood Association.

We continue to get support from Neighborhood Tourist Development funds for Chalk Walk and Concert Series.
