NExt Generation Youth Arts – Fall 2006 |
NE Arts had for a second year, a FREE hands on visual arts booth at the Historic Northeast Fall Festival in the Big Top Tent. Various art projects were made available to anyone interested in creating a work of ART or two. The focus was on the Festival’s theme of “Clean and Green.” The FREE Clay Play booth was back in the Big Top Tent too. It was sponsored by Back Door Pottery and Kansas City UMB. As in past years, a FREE arts booth was back, featuring face painting, fans and stencil. The face painting was a big hit. |

This annual youth exhibit follows the Cultures Without Borders Show in May at Central Bank of Kansas City and is up through Fathers Day. Eight Northeast area schools participated in the 2006 NExt Exhibit. Thirty one children’s work’s were chosen for the show. It was juried by two Hallmark Artists and Rebecca Koop NE Arts President. Prizes of Art supplies were awarded to 12 students. Art supplies were purchased from Utrecht Artists materials and display boards for their art were donated by Smith Kramer art Services. We want to thank all of our above sponsors and volunteers for making this possible again. We hope you enjoy some of the art pictured here. Photos were taken at the Punch and Cookie reception at Central Bank of Kansas City. Over 30 parents, teachers and students attended.
