SUMMER DUSK FREE CONCERT!!

WALDO JAZZ COLLECTIVE

FRIDAY EVENING, SEPT. 18

Dear Friends of Northeast Arts KC,

Summer will be upon us soon. Normally that would mean we would be getting ready for our Summer Dusk FREE Concert Series. But as we all know, these aren’t “normal” times.

Our organization is staying up to date on the coronavirus situation. We will be following all state, county, and city mandates regarding gatherings, and will be making decisions based on those guidelines. It goes without saying that the health and safety of our audience – our friends and neighbors – will always be our top priority. We will be keeping you informed on any cancellations or postponements that occur as those decisions are made.

As we all know, people who work in the arts – music, theatre, studio art and dance – have been very hard hit due to the covid-19 related closures and cancellations of the last month. We would ask that, if you have the ability, you please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Northeast Arts KC at this time. Though our events are free to the public, the musicians who perform for you at those events do get paid, and we will be short on funding this season. When the time comes, a paying gig will be a real help to them.  Here’s a link: https://www.northeastartskc.org/become-a-member

As soon as we are allowed to gather again, we will see you at the Colonnade on the Concourse in Kessler Park for some great local music and some beautiful weather!

Until then, stay safe, and healthy; and stay home as much as you can!

Sincerely,

Marianne S. Rowse

President
